Anne Rice Gets Religion

Of course, Anne Rice has always had a religious sensability. That's one of the things that made her vampire novels so compelling. And some of her favorite vampires, Lestat in particular, always had a few Christ-like attributes. But after a couple of near fatal illnesses and the death of her husband, Anne Rice has re-joined the Catholic church.

The result is this: no more vampire or ghoul novels. The new Anne Rice is a Christian author! And she's proving it with her first post-repentance work - Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt.

And I thought it was a shock when Bob Dylan got religion . . .
