Nipsey Russell Dead at 80

This is gonna show my age.

Nipsey Russell, a perennial guest on Laugh-In and Hollywood Squares during the 60's and 70's, died Sunday.

He was ubiquitous. You couldn't turn on television games shows after school in the 70's without seeing Nipsey. His star is so deeply tattooed on my silly friends and my minds, that when the B52's song "Roam," came out, we sang it "Roam Nipsey Russell! Roam around the world!"

When Gilligan died a few weeks ago I was all, Whatever! Never cared much for Gilligan. He was no Don Knotts. But Nipsey Russell gone? Now that is sad!
