Unjugged Herring Breaks Wind

Scientists have recently discovered that herring communicate at night by farting.

This kind of news makes you glad to be alive, dutnit?

I almost forgot to mention that the linked site has an audio clip of the windy herring for your scientific enjoyment. (Pep says it sounds just like you'd think a herring fart would sound - "high-pitched and greasy.")

Even Dave Barry had the heuristic gravitas to weigh in on this topic. Must Read!
